The Thrive Biblical Coaching Ministry seeks to come alongside believers in their pursuit of loving God with all their heart, soul, mind and strength (Luke 10:27) by helping to identify areas of weakness or brokenness, and to find hope through the gospel, help through available resources, and healing through discipleship. The coaching ministry aims to be a bridge between the clinical world and the spiritual world, helping believers navigate where their best chance to thrive lays.

 

Through Scripture we understand that when Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, the results reverberated throughout all of creation (Genesis 3). Although we know that Christ’s work on the cross put an end to our sin positionally (Colossians 2:13-15), we may still wrestle with it daily, as we suffer the effects of living in a broken world (Romans 8:22-23). Our goal is to help believers navigate this broken world. 

 

Biblical coaching is available to those in the community at a rate of $50.00 per session. Coaching is also available to the Broadalbin Baptist Church family (member or regular attender), at a reduced rate in a one-on-one time limited format, with a coach. The biblical coaching ministry is based upon biblical principles, and is designed to create an opportunity for spiritual growth through participation in a series of individual spiritual counseling sessions with a coach. 

 

Biblical coaches have received training in spiritual counseling principals and are supervised by a member of the church’s pastoral staff. The coach with whom a client will meet is not a mental health therapist. All the appointments take place in the church offices unless otherwise agreed upon by both the client and coach. Referrals to appropriate professionals will be made when/if the area of concern is outside the scope of Biblical coaching.
